Filler leads to character moments. In the premiere no but going forward . Getting lost . Talking to each other . Small moments letting moments breathe a little more . That’s why some things landed odd for me . Lol there was down time all throughout the episode there were slower moments
Would those moments count as filler, if it impacts the way we look at characters & it changes their dynamic?
I don’t think so

We view the word filler differently when I more just mean time where characters talk about a little bit more than plot points .I think it will come in later episodes. I am saying for Ellie and Joel to build a bond especially with left behind taking up one episode and bill and Frank . You need some time where they develop more of a bond . It was only opening episode so there is time

Ah. I’m sure we’ll have plenty of those moments tbh. They need to fll in some gameplay spots lol

Even just one uncut segment would have hit lol. I am still shocked both in remake and show they aren’t touching 20 year time gaps
. That kind of would have fit perfect here for me so just the kid burning felt odd
Finally watched the premiere. It was solid
Realized how little I remember from the beginning since there was a gap I stopped playing before beating the game last year

Look out for The Last Of Us Saga coming out in 2030 on PS6 & PC
When we get one lil glimpse of Joel & Tommy robbing mfers
i never once played the games but my brain made the immediate connection during that first 20-30 minutes like "I've seen this before" just from watching gameplay of the opening like 9 years ago
would have been awesome if they kept that one take sequence going the entire way driving through the town, had me getting excited for a one take and then theres a pretty jarring cut after the near car-crash
