I don't think the movies were smash hits, but the books are definitely popular af. And the movies were a part of a lot of people's childhood so nostalgia also plays a factor in to the hype for a new Percy show

I mean if you prefer TWD thats fine but I feel season 1 of that show was the 1 season that had a truly compelling story

And when it comes to acting TWD had great moments for sure but the acting usually wasn't anything people were considering really incredible

And to be clear I really liked Walking Dead for a while , so I'm not even hating on the series. TLOU is just more compelling and better acted imo
