Game scene isn't even close
Only way you could argue is nostalgia and trying to protect the legacy of the game, Sarah is just a development tool in the game, not even her own person really lol
No
Anyone else felt the opening overall was great but the first few minutes where they overexplained pandemics and fungus was a bit heavy handed and unnecessary?
Outside of the obvious "here's a covid reference", the fungi dialogue was spectacular, and I honestly feel like they added more backdrop to how this disease came to be so pervasive than the entire first game did lmao
at least they're not trying to do some 1 to 1 re-creation. I liked it
Ya game did it best but the show didn't disappoint
I got 50 mins left and this is better than any HBO debut episode I've seen. F*** Bran Stark getting pushed off the tower
You are smoking crack. Stop it.

everything that they explained in that scene was explained slowly throughout the game and that added to the mystery
This was a solid debut. I give it about a 7-7.5
Looking forward to next week. Bella Ramsey is pretty cool in this, I like her.

I’ve watched that pilot twice and never advanced past it because I was bored
Also medieval stuff bores me in film and tv but not games so lol

Mannn you missing out on some GOAT storytelling and lore

Then I would hope that signals they're going in a different direction, eventually, than where the game took it!
I think there's much more value in a non-faithful adaptation that's well done than just a rendition of something we all watched 10 years ago
Firefly really a bunch of idiots man they really lose their whole cavalry to some scammers
They would have not make it if they take ellie with em
Talking about the content of the episode we just watched
Talking about how its the greatest show ever

You talking about GOT?
Oh yea I agree. I don’t think GOT pilot is that great. But I’ll damned if someone say TLOU pilot is the best HBO pilot ever.

completely agree, overall I loved how different the intro was done compared to the game. They gave us more backstory and fleshed it out
but they didn’t have to explain fungus and pandemics imo

I fell asleep watching Fellowship of the Ring
But Shadow of Mordor slaps

Saying “i won’t discuss the show” 5 minutes before it airs
Being in here anyways after it airs and discussing the show
