I'm not sure an actual perfect game exists tbh
Every game will lack in some departments, and be perfect in others.
At the end of the day it all comes down to execution.
For me TLOU 1 was something I connected to emotionally that still resonates with me to this day. As long as TLOU2 is able to leave a lasting impact on me, I will be more than satisfied
This is very true
Why do people review games they don’t like. Like bruh that’s just plain stupid on ur part, but it is what it is
I don’t have a problem with the guy not liking the story at all. My only issue is the people simply gripping on to that one single negative review and sticking to the conclusion that the game is bad. Like you got almost 100 other reviews saying the game is great and ONE review is all it takes for people to be stubborn.

Well again, just like “masterpiece”, “perfect” will always be subjective. Imo judging the single player experience solely, RDR 2 was perfect to me. Hit every beat from gameplay to story right. But I’m sure there’s people even on here who didn’t like that game

people already have their mind set on something before they even actually give something a chance. Im not mad at that. it's their loss.
These haters are clinging on to SkillUp’s review so hard to justify their narrative that the game is complete garbage. It’s actually so dumb I swear.
tyrone Magnus def did

Oh okay, I see what ur saying now, yeah why do people do that when others are saying the game is f***ing amazing

Yep I loved RDR2, everytime I play it there is always some new detail that impresses me.
But there are def people on this site who s*** on it

Unfortunately a lot people are just set on their opinions for this game now. They just want the game to fail completely and no matter what reviews say nothing will change their minds. If the game never leaked it would have been a completely different situation.

As a gamer it sucks that people really wanna see a game fail
I wanted to post this comment from this other form that gives an example of why I hate sensitivity in gaming and if you feel that way then don’t play it
Sure.
Yeah I feel that for sure. Idk I guess it comes down to your definition of “masterpiece”. For me, it’s something (whether it’s a movie, video game, album) that has absolutely no flaws and is perfect in every way. For example, God is a Geek gave it a 10 but said that the story ultimately didn’t completely deliver on what was promised. I personally wouldn’t give such a game a 10 (maybe somewhere in the 9 range if every other aspect was amazing) but to each their own
For me a 10 is only something I’d give out based on how much fun I’ve had with something and my perspective on it years later
Like when I first got RDR2 and Breath of the Wind, I probably felt 8-9/10 on them on the first week of play. But if you ask me now, neither game had any impact on me and I’d say they’re like 5/10 games.
But TLOU felt like a 10 on first play through and it’s been so impactful on me that that’s an example of a 10/10 for me even though criticizing it for not differentiating itself enough from like The Road or something could be used. Same with something like Halo 3 where the story was not rly that good but the multiplayer was so ground breaking and endlessly fun that Theres no way I could not say it’s one of my fav games ever and a 10
trophy list is out there and apparently its pretty easy
lowkey was hoping it would be hard as s*** so i could spend more time with the game
When do you guys expect the multiplayer to come out
Honestly I have a slight feeling it might be on PS5 ngl

I feel the Sameway man, a fall launch along with the PS5 version of this game.
What someone got from Skill Up's review:
The issue with his review was that it was messy for the first half. He mentions complaints he had with certain mechanics, but then would backtrack and compliment those same complaints.
He also admitted he didn’t like the gameplay in the first game, and was holding Naughty Dog to an “unfair” standard because he expected them to revolutionize the gameplay. He mentioned if you enjoyed the gameplay of the first game, you’ll enjoy it in this game. He made fair points about tone and characters being uninspired in the story, but how he feels about a story’s tone and characters is only from his perspective.
He admitted that some may find the gut wrenching consistent violence as raw and thrilling, while others may find it void of emotion and melodramatic. So, it really depends on the perspective of the gamer. I knew haters would jump on his review as gospel because they NEEDED a reason not to buy the game to stay consistent with their hate train from April.
“The Last of Us Part II is a staggering achievement in almost every way; its immense story inflames the scar left by the end of the previous game in a way that feels necessary even if it won’t ever heal, the experience of playing through it is like being implicated into the dark heart of a great undead horror movie, and should earn Druckmann a spot alongside George Romero and Stephen King as one of the undisputed masters of the genre.”
