A large part of the backlash has been been driven by radicalised weirdos who feel threatened by an imaginary SJW agenda they think Naughty Dog is pushing. They've been ready to pile on this game for years and the leaks just let them do it earlier.
I haven't seen the leaks so I can't speak on the validity of any criticism aimed towards the game's writing. I'd still take that criticism with a mountain of salt considering so many nerds lack the framework to engage with media in any meaningful way.I suspect this is going to become the popular thing to say after the game is out, but I genuinely doubt all the insane craze going on in huge social media platforms like Twitter and Youtube were just radicalized weirdos
Even relatively big youtube channels were s***ting on the leaks. S*** even Tyrone Magnus who usually got nothing but positive things to say was extremely disappointed in the leaks

Yea factions was great, lowkey I was more excited for multiplayer than the story mode. I believe they said they’re going to add it at some point in time, but who knows when that will be.

yeah I think it has to do with the direction the story goes in and the plot choices made that is angering people.

I’ve been watching tyrones TLOU2 videos and I think the reason he’s mad is mainly because of ONE specific spoiler in the game. Of course I’m not gonna say what but I don’t necessarily think he’s mad over all the reasons that everyone else is pissed about.

Do you think the IGN etc. reviews might change his mind? I hope so since the people who got the game say it's still worth getting it.
