It's cool and all but I feel like the story outweighs the ending. It's not exactly powerful, it's still a 10/10 gameplay experience that feels more like a playable TV show, but both endings have been massive letdowns.

First game ending is boring as s***, literally last chapter topped with loads of suspense for a huge anticlimax, and then the second game you're introduced to a faction with no real lore on who they are, for them to crucify Abby And Lev... for you to save them both?

AND THEN you go back to the ranch and Dina gone? S*** kinda lame to me. Would have been a way better ending if Ellie went back to Jackson and saw Dina and she forgave her and they stayed together for the kid.

Why tf would Dina still be there and then forgive her

I like emotional bs in my endings

I get the deeper theme of Ellie finding her peace with the Abby situation at the cost of Dina and the kid but at the same time they’re such a good family, which is why I’d prefer that as an ending

Last of Us is a sad game. There is no happy ending in a game or series like this. It doesn't fit the game

i just thought it was interesting that joel saving ellie caused him to die but if he didn't regardless of what would've happened to ellie, he still would be alive
