The worst criticism I’ve seen !#is that Joel and Tommy giving their name to people they just met is not in contradictory. I don't know why people have this image of Joel and Tommy as completely unwilling to trust people.

In the first game, Joel warms up to Sam and Henry quick enough once he realizes they're not a threat. The only people he doesn't give a chance are people who are already after them, hunters, cannibals, etc.

The famous truck scene where he sees the ruse is the prime argument but that’s because he’d done the set up, it also contradicts itself in the same game if you wanna nitpick. The fact is Joel is human. He said himself “its not being good at it, it’s called luck” to Ellie after they survived their first infected and hunters together. His luck had to run out sooner or later. Now the criticism of playing as Abby I can see but her motives are justified. No one in this is the hero or villain and that’s what makes it good

I feel the side characters in tlou are superior to tlou2 for the most part. Bill sam and Henry and Tess all top tier.

man, really wish they actually did a better job because their other POV character was good for representation but everyone hates her (and rightfully so) i think they really tried to give a nuanced point of view from her perspective but she’s a straight up villain to the characters everyone who had played the first fell in love with.

ending decisions were contradictory to the actions made by the main protagonist as well, lot of people would have liked the opposite outcome.
