She’ll never do an ARTPOP 2, she has no desire to be different and polarizing anymore like 2009-2013.
She wants respect and acclaim now to the point of becoming a boring balladeer for 60 year old white middle America and anything else that is playing by the book.

This will prob be similar to that weak Born this Way 10th anniversary tribute she did which was just adding a few new versions of the songs to the tracklist.

ARTPOP is also the era her record label forced her to work with a rapist because her lead single flopped compared to katy perry. Its also the era where everyone like akon and her manager since 07 ditched her. She got reasons to hate artpop i dont blame her.

Don’t do that. Hold her accountable… she chose to work with him, publicly defended him, and praised him countless times. Her label didn’t force anything.

Her label actually stopped it from going too far. She had the audacity to make a rape’y music video for the song and at that point her label stepped in and canned the video from being released.

She definitely was in a messy state of mind during that era, which is why I get the detachment.

However the general ambition and boundary breaking she strived for in general also during Born this Way, The Fame Monster, etc just doesn’t appear to be what she is interested in anymore. That was what I was saying

She had dwuw recorded as a solo song with her own verse, you can find the leak somewhere online. Maybe "forced" was a reach but they most definitely made her put him on the track. Also the music video was scrapped because Terry Richardson had sexual abuse allegations against him. Music video is also about her own rape, but ya it was in bad taste.

I feel like she still strives for polarizing though. Shes just deep into oscar hype right now and you could even say her signing on to do joker 2 is pretty polarizing itself. Just in a different type of media

The label had no involvement in him being added. He wasn’t even a relevant hitmaker in 2013 lmaoo, why would they have wanted him specifically. He also was on a different record label.

ARTPOP was at the point of her pushing boundaries just to be shocking and lacking logic/substance behind it.

The music overall was great though aside from the gimmicky moments

I believe once she calms down on the movie and oscar hype she'll get back into her old polarizing ways. Im convinced Cheek to Cheek and Joanne was her way of branching into different demographics, and after she got her role in a star is born and her oscar win shes slowly going back into classic gaga

Also playing the female head role in joker, the most controversial movie in years because of the fear of losers uprising is pretty f***ing polarizing lol
