"I'm just trying to think ahead here. Let's say we go north-west to the tunnel: we'll probably get in to a big fight and end up half dead because that's what always happens. We reach the barrier after scraping through with our lives, and then find out that we have no idea how to get through the damn thing.

If you really want to go down that route, then fine, I'll tag along. I just think it's better to see what we can learn from people who have been in the city for a while and might have information that could help us get in to Manhattan."

« No doubt Brooklyn also got all hell breaking loose. But we got the rest with us there at least. But who’se to say anyone there knows how to get through the cube? That thing is meant to keep people out I’d reckon.»

I look back to Barry.

« Ill give you this: you think we could finish business in Brooklyn within a day? If so let’s go. If you don’t think that’s possible then we have no choice, we would need to head to manhattan right now. What do you say? »

Barry looks over to D12: “How much longer will it take to reach Brooklyn?”

Porter scratches his head "Can't say for sure, since we don't know whats ahead. But let's say all stars align in our favour, then we'd be able to scout the harbour this afternoon, maybe we're lucky and we find some kind of opening to sneak through and grab ourselves a boat, that's to say, if the bay up ahead isn't a battlefield engulfed in chaos. We'd be able to travel to Brooklyn during nighttime. If we're able to make it across the bay, we'll be able to reach the stadium very quickly, well... hypothetically... if there's no enemies guarding the shore... so we could get the tomorrow early in the morning if everything goes well..."

Kuniva doesn't look too convinced "That's many ifs..."

Eye-Kyu nods "Yeah... worst case we'll not be able to travel by boat and we'll need to take a long detour over Staten Island... seeing the speed we've traveled so far... this could take us two or three days at least... and all optimism aside... we still don't know who's controlling that area or if..." he looks at Porter with a sorryful look "... the people we're looking for are still there.. or alive even..."

Porter agrees "...Yeah... and we don't know if the tunnels and bridges running from Brooklyn to Manhattan are still intact either...so.. it's really hard to say if you'll be in a better or worse position if you try to get there via Brooklyn.. sorry Barry... we're as clueless as you... "

“Guess this might be where we part ways, then...”

Porter in a calm but sad voice "So this means... our journey together will come to an end after we reach the end of this bridge..."

"It was an honour guys. There is no way we would've made it this far without yall. I don't know what awaits us in the future, but if Elori's goddess is willing, this won't be where the story ends."

"Looks like it. We struggled to make it here with six untouched... No offence, but are you guys gonna be able to manage without us?"

The group is slowly reaching the end of the bridge, the Skyway still goes on for another 1,5 miles towards Jersey City. Next to the edge there's a big steel ladder going down to a industrial area filled with cargo containers. Eye-Kyu points to it "Let's head down here... looks calm..."

Biz walks up to Odeon after his speech and reaches out for a handshake with a hug "Odeon... I don't know what you have in mind... but I wish you're successfull..." he smirks " I'll hold you accountable in case our bbq business doesn't come to be... Don't you die on me."

Tariq tries to disperse Barrys worries "They still have Coochie and me, and if worst comes to worst, I'll just turn us invisible and we'll run off..."

Porter pats Tariq on the shoulder and tries to reassure Barry "He's right, we should be fine with the both of them... Don't worry, we'll move carefully..."

Tariq moves over to the sad-faced Elori and grabs his shoulders "Don't worry... we'll see each other again... I'm sure... you guys taught me a lot about courage... I now have a purpouse in this godforsaken world..." he begins to dig in his pockets and takes out his Eyeore dispenser "Some sweets to cheer up?"

Coochiemane is yawning in the background and casually says "Yeah yeah... thanks for the company... Although I really don't look forward to you guys being a pain in my neck again so don't count me in in any reunion... travel well... goodbye...".

Tariq looks at him a bit confused, hearing Coochiemane utter some more or less nice words he lifts his eyebrow.

Eye-Kyu towards Barry "Thanks for everything you've helped us so far... it's been a month now or so since you've joined us in Ann Arbor...still don't know why you decided to stick with us... but I really had a good time with you Barry, make sure you stay safe..." he adds "In case anything goes south on your trip, we'll be waiting for you in Brooklyn..."

Kuniva nods "Most def... get them through that havoc with that sharp mind of yours Barry, keep an eye out for Elori wandering off" he says this while looking over to Elori and smirking, expecting a reaction "... and that overly motivated hero over there" he points to Odeon "I hope we'll see each other again..." then he turns to Fougere and reaches out for a handshake "We didn't get to know each other much... but you seem like a nice guy... I wish you good luck with your search or whatever issue you have to solve with these reds... Stay alive."

Barry looks at Eye-Kyu, D12, and Tariq: "I'll swing by Brooklyn after we're done in Manhattan. If you aren't there then I'll head to back Cleveland. Good luck and stay safe."

Barry addresses Coochimane: "Later. Try not to get any of these guys killed."

Elori gives Kuniva a sheepish grin. “It was wonderful traveling with you lot. This is definitely not the end, I promise.” He finishes with a curt nod.

I accept the handshake with a smile. "It was nice to meet you even if it wasnt for long, good luck in your travels and make sure you stay safe aswell"

Coochiemane walks past everyone, up to the edge of the skyway and points to the ladder asking "Down there, right?"

Eye-Kyu gives him a short confirming nod.

Coochiemane stretches "Aaalllright..." he turns around, grabbing the ladder and slides down.

He descends to the ground impressively fast and lands gracefully, slowing down just before the end by his pure muscle strength, then he looks upwards shouting "What's up, y'all coming or are you going to waste more time?" tapping his feet.

Kuniva hearing him "Shhhh calm it! Yeah yeah! We're coming!" then turns to towards the people staying again "Well then, this is it! See ya!" before also starting to climb down the stairs slowly.

Eye-Kyu follows after him raising his hand before climbing down waving goodbye "Until next time! I heard you Barry! We'll leave a note in Cleveland in case we had to return or flee from here..."

Tariq looks at the people who commence to leave and then gives Barry, Elori, Odeon and Fougere a thumbs up while smiling "We'll all get through!" and also moves towards the ladder, climbing down after Eye-Kyu.

Porter smirks as he sees Tariq leave and comments towards the untouched still up on the bridge "He's a nice guy... the real kind one... isn't he?" then also begins moving backwards "See you in a minute then, when you did whatever needs to be done!" giving a wink while climbing down.

Biz goes last, he throws a wistful smile at the crowd "Please... stay alive y'all..." he then begins to climb down, just before his head disappears, he suddendly rushes up again "Damn... almost forgot! Odeon! Here, take this!" with his free hand he goes through his pockets and throws Odeon a brown leather bag at the named persons feet "For those moments you know! Kun and I will be sure to get some more ready to celebrate our reunion!" he then smirks and gives one last wave before also descending.

D12, Tariq and Coochiemane are now below the bridge, heading off eastwards between the countless containers, the dusty sandy ground whirling up beneath the feet of the six, being whipped by the blowing wind. Tariq turns around waving at everyone on the bridge for one last time as they start to leave, staying for a moment before chasing after the rest. They're still within in your sight.
