Fougere grabs the rope and sees Elori flying past him as he uses his tempestuous magic. Both climb up to the top.

Porter also walks up to the returning people "So, how's it been down there?"

You can see Coochiemane leaning against the bridge somwhere in the background, his solar panel station still charging beside him.

I brush myself off, “The item is buried underground unfortunately, we wouldn’t have time to retrieve it without risking a ton of noise and all.”

Porter responds "Hm... I guess theres nothing we can do about it, probably for the better, if my ears didnt betray me I'd guess those reds were probably moving south also... had me worried for a minute"
Eye-Kyu shows up "Buried underground you said? Weird... why would someone bury this stuff in the middle of NY?"
Biz tries to make a joke "Maybe some people just like to dig holes in public ground and throw stuff in it..."
Kuniva follows up "What? Like some crack dealer who hid his antiques together with his stash... maaan... I don't know cuz."

Kuniva thinks aloud "I hope it wasn't a red in disguise..."
Eye-Kyu looks at him "Like a scout who's walking ahead?"
Kuniva continues "Or a loonie? Government? The blues...?" he sighs "Ahh... this is really giving me a headache, constantly thinking about what kind of hoard is going to attack us around the next corner."
Porter smirks "Or... there are really civilians still around who were able to survive after they shut down the support... in that case... there even may be a chance that Aliq and the people his staying with are still well..."
Eye-Kyu nods "Don't get your hopes up though... we don't know the situation in Brooklyn..."
Biz smiles "Still... I like Denauns optimistic thought... I hope you're right..."
Kuniva nods and just murmurs "Aliq...".

Biz then turns to Odeon "A time capsule? Like some school project? Mhh..."

Porter claps his hands "Well... I guess nothing we can do about it... let's start moving again."

Biz shouts towards Coochiemane in the background "Ayo Coochie! Pack your stuff, we're leaving!"

Coochiemane complains "Aww... come on man! This thing is only halfway charged!" Biz gives him a stare, Coochiemane sighs "Alright alright man..." he gets his stuff togethers and stands up, coming over to everyone else "So... what's the word? Anything interesting down there?" he yawns.

Kuniva gives him an annoyed look "You would know if you would've shown a bit of interest in this groups endeavours and not chill out somewhere on the sideline" he picks up his bag and starts moving as well. Coochiemane waves his insult away *Yeah yeah... whatever..."
Tariq doesn't comment, he just takes his backpack and walks past Coochiemane.

Everyone prepares to leave.

The group heads east.
Although everything around you seems calm, there's a certain unrest in the air as the group draws closer to Manhattan.
After another 10 minutes of walking you get to the point where the Pulaski Skyway crosses the Hackensack river.
As you begin moving over the bridge the blurry view in the horizon finally clears up a bit.

Kuniva who's been walking in front of everyone, stops dead in his tracks and then rushes forwards some steps immediatly, just before halting again and throwing his hands in the air "Holy S***! Check that out!"
Biz, Eye-Kyu and Porter immediatly chase after him, like Kuniva they get stunned frozen by the scenery in front of them.
Biz tries to get out a word "Wha..." but he really isn't able to formulate anything to describe his impression.
Porter slowly turns his head around and looks back at the untouched coming up behind them "Odeon..." Porter looks him in the eyes" him with a worried and shocked look on his face "...Manhattan... you probably wont like what you see..."
Eye-Kyu overwhelmed by the sight as well "And I thought they were talking about a steel wall or sum...."

Almost the whole of the southern part of the Island of Manhattan is encased in a huge cube of transparent glowing violet light.
The atmosphere surrounding the cube is vibrating, appearing blurred like a panorama you would see on a especially hot day in the desert.
The scarlet to pink gradient painting the sky gets complemented by some loud booming explosion noises far off the direction you're heading. From time to time one can see clouds of black smoke popping up the area around Manhattan, accompanied by flashing lights. Each side of the cube stretches across probably about 2,5 km in length. From the ground to the top it reaches about 1 km into the sky.

Elori marvels at the cube, with wide eyes. “That’s.. magnificent.” He tries to concentrate to get a read on the energy that it’s giving off

You fail to read the properties of the cube itself, as there's just too much signals interfering with your sensing, thus creating a dissonance and the distance is just too large to cover for your current abilitiy.
But there's something else attracting your attention, you pinch your eyes and like before when you concentrated on reading the energies ahead you slowly begin to see the faint particles of energy in the air, like dancing lights, normally unable to be seen by the naked human eye. You finally discover where all of them are drawn to:
A gigantic whirlwind of energy is revolving above the center of the cube in the sky, which seems to be inside the eye of the storm.

Im stunned by the sight. “Well that explains something...” I mutter silently.
