I’ve thought it since the Patreon deal, Patreon is made to host exclusive content but the exclusive content they were giving was not exclusive whatsoever it was the same conversations as it was on the pod, I’ve always thought with Patreon they should’ve branched out and did more variety s*** like a stupid game show or a Mal & Rory react to music or music videos or some kind of mini series on this type of vibe

This time around they better have ownership. But let’s be real it’s probably profit sharing. KD wouldn’t do this for free unless this is charity work.

I’m good. I just don’t think it makes sense for them to sign with another person. They could produce this on there own. Without knowing the details of the KD deal I think it’s safe to assume KD wouldn’t sign them for free. He wants to make a return. I see the benefit for them but not for him. If Savon can fund his own podcast and countless other people do it. Why would they need to do this outside of partnership with a major company. They already have an audience.

Yea I feel you. But Joe struggling to find sponsors for his show and create revenue. You think Rory and Mal would be able too. They not gonna be making money from youtube so they would have to be doing hella ads during the pod

True. I still think having to share profit with a network at this stage isn't the best plan. The profits wont be as big as the JBP so they will have to share a smaller portion. That why I think it's still beneficial to be independent.

Obviously, I don't know the details of this partnership but I feel like they jumped the gun. The seemingly signed before shopping and trying to partner directly with a brand. Who know's maybe KD already secured a partnership so he knows how much revenue will come in. That why he has no problem bring them onboard.

It will be interesting to see what happens and if they share any details.

Joe has Patreon and Youtube revenue. Combined the income is probably around 150-250k per month.

Not everyone wants to start from the complete bottom my boy. If they (Thirty Five Ventures) has the infrastructure, and they signed a deal they both see as favorable, ain’t nothing wrong with the move.

This whole “own 100%” sounds good on paper but is rarely practical.
