• Mal and Rory get contracts based on projections of the cost and income the pod can generate

what was the part later in the pod when joe talked about rory calling ian to ask for a day off to figure some s*** out. did he mean that rory called ian for todays pod? he then said youre fired and now have all the time to figure your s*** out. kinda makes sense because he only called mal to ask where he is but mal didnt answer

“The oppressed becomes the oppressor” is always the type of vibe I’ve gotten from Joe. Spotify and all them other people wouldn’t/didn’t want to show Joe the numbers when he would ask, and he in turn when in a similar position did the same thing.

He disguises all that “I’m for the creators” “We want equity” s*** for personal gain. He just wants to get his at the end of the day.

I can’t take Joe’s word that he personally funded 98% of the podcast. This is the same nigga in the return episode with Mal & Rory who said they “abandoned the podcast” when he told them to take time off, in not as kind words. If there is one thing I’m 100% certain of, is that Joe is a Grade A gaslighter.
