BanditoEverything is relative. Dan getting 50 million ultimately means nothing as it’s probably not his initial ask. He probably asked for 80-100 and they met at 50 and we don’t know the exact terms. His true value is probably higher, so in a weird way he’s driving the price down for people in his tier.
Alternatively, getting 10 million for example with great terms could be better than 50 mil with s*** terms. Everything is about how well you can negotiate. Joe doesn’t seem to be the best negotiator however his price seem negotiable however the terms regarding ownerships seem to be nonnegotiable so he often walks even if the deal has a high number.
What he asked for doesn’t matter he got $50 million, that’s his worth for a 3 year license deal and that’s a lot of money for just a license deal. License deal are just that you get to host my metwork on your medium( like Spotify exclusively hosts rogan podcast), but I still own it and after the deal expires I can take my network anywhere I want. It’s the same deal joe got with Spotify. He is not driving the price down, I don’t understand why you believe he is. Joe clearly wants a license deal but no one is offering him enough money. Joe rogan and Dan lebatard deal should be good indications of what he can get.
