But when Joe asked Parks what would happen if they shut down for a couple of weeks, Parks said it would’ve been bad. Implying that money wasn’t flowing in like they claimed. The lies always reveal themselves eventually.
Bad meaning bad for advertisers, bad for Savon, Screenman, Erikson and Alex. A stoppage would mean none of them would get paid for weeks. Not sure its about how much, but money is always missed. A pause on the JBP would probably also halt the other podcasts too.

Enlighten BrotherYeah that’s what made me look at that situation crazy. You not about to be turning down deals because they not what YOU want. We need to come together and discuss every deal if I got equity in the podcast.

maybe like 2% or 3% lol
So for example, If Joe owns 80-90% of the podcast, it doesnt really matter what Mal or Rory says when it comes to important s*** about the podcast from a business standpoint. Joe can do whatever he wants.
Joe would not be able to do all this and talk to them like that if they had real equity.

People act like Mal and Rory didn’t give greatness to this pod for multiple years. Going back and listening to all these pod compilations on YT and the chemistry there was unmatched and the countless hilarious moments won’t be topped (imo ofc).
This has happened everywhere joe has worked and with everyone he’s worked with.
Also to the point that I’ve seen others make that ‘oh ice and ish aren’t industry the pod is so great now.’ lol again give it time. Both them mfs will form industry relationships through the pod. Rory and Mal used to be very uncensored in their early days as well. As the pod continues and they bring on guests, go on tour, and get well known within the industry they will become more PC.
Mal and Rory were clearly not the problem here. It’s evident it’s Joe.
Maybe, maybe not. Ish and Ice don’t have any ties to the industry. Them niggas got day jobs. So we won’t truly know lol.
What we do know is Rory and Mal have been stale for a while now and if they can’t get over their differences with Joe, they should just dip.

All that equity and bussines talk to be several years in on the podcast and just now ask for transparency. All that talk should be dead now they have no idea what’s going on behind the scenes with the podcast and are simple employees so Joe should treat them as such

If they can’t afford to take 2 weeks off, then they’re practically operating pay check to pay check. Even more reason for them to take time off and examine the actual business. Especially after 5-6 years.
Just a couple episodes ago, when Issa Rae’s HBO deal was announced, Joe was sending subtle shots at Rory & Mal trying to say that the pod specifically “JBP” revenue is not being used to finance his other endeavors.
