They spent years talking about artists signing bad contracts, streams, other podcasts business disputes, etc...while not knowing for 6yrs what's going on with their own podcast. Joe does negotiations without their input. Mal asked on this episode for more transparency with business.

It’s easy to see that Joe placed himself above Mal & Rory when it comes to the podcast. If you got back a few months to a year when Charlamagne and the entire breakfast club were up for contract renegotiations, Joe thought Charlamagne was gonna leave the breakfast club and do something else. He said that Charlamagne was bigger than Envy & Yee, and didn’t need them for any other future endeavors. He said all that because that is 100% what Joe would’ve done if he was in a Charlamagne’s position. Leave TBC to go and do something else because he feels he’s outgrown his cohost.

Imagine discussing other people deals and think you giving advice on what to do and still getting played on the same pod you doing all that.
