Mal is the king of semantics. He said he doesn't care about money, he just cares about respect and transparency. If someone is getting paid a lot more than you (or has a bigger equity split than you) then you will feel disrespected. If you think the accounting is fishy and they won't let you see the books, then you will be upset. So respect and transparency complaints are often about money
mal is losing weight and joe is the reason why his pockets are mighty hungry lol
You would think he would have more respect for the people that were kind enough to show up and do his pod with him when there wasnt any money around or any deals. That helped build the audience with their personalities and talks on the pod. The life has been sucked out of it. It is not fun anymore. Not organic and it feels forced when they talk. Still.
I think it is also clear that Mal and Rory have been screwed over with the business side of things. Maybe they didnt care or let Joe have it, but they have been screwed over.
This is Joes pod. Joes network. Joes ticket to wealth and riches.
Joe is a whole piece of s***
We’re watching the classic don’t mix friends with business play out in real time here
As an employer Joe can certainly tell Rory to take some PTO and on top of that wouldn’t have to let Mal as another employee know the reason. This whole episode is like watching wires cross, Rory & Mal are coming at it from the we’re friends thats f***ed up angle while Joe is coming at it from the it’s just business angle which IMO in this instance he has every right to do. These guys gotta figure out their boundaries and priorities man
Gonna considered this their farewell episode
they didn’t say s*** for a month just to come back and b**** for an hour about nothing this pod done
Yeah it’s good to see the guys back on the pod—BUT i don’t want them to do it if it’s a toxic environment.
30 minutes in. Despite saying he's over it, Mal is coming off mad sensitive.
I howled at Joe letting Mal and Rory get their s*** off without interrupting only to follow it up with..."I don't OWE anyone respect"
awkward fly on the wall listening experience for sure

if you got f***ed over and wasn't receiving your fair share on something you helped build you'd feel the same
if you got f***ed over and wasn't receiving your fair share on something you helped build you'd feel the same
You keep bringing up fair share and Mal keeps saying he doesn't care about Money
Rory sounds like he is good to go but Mal is really down bad.
Mal let the internet get him in his feels whereas Rory just blew that s*** off it seems and did what Joe asked him to do which was clear his head
