I think the JBP is the wrong type of podcast for Mal because this pod requires its hosts to take off the “cool”, share some stories and make fun of yourself , that’s when it is at it’s best. He is proven time and time again that is not going to share much and will always try to appear cool.

He should be on a sports-based podcast. The only time he is ever engaged in the conversation is when they talk about sports or Drake lol.
Joe and Ian dropped the ball with those two female podcasts to start the network. They should’ve just let Mal start a sports podcast.

I think the pod would work at its best with Ice, Mal, Rory, and Joe.

With just Rory and Mal they tend to spend a lot of time just listening to Joe and toss in opinions here and there. Other than rare moments they play it super safe the past few years. Ice being there with em would be fire because you'd have that one voice that don't give a f***, comes off troll-ish even. I think that would lead to many many wild viral moments going forward

It all just comes down to if Joe willing to pay ANOTHER employee full time. But we know it'll work because they did that same 4 man lineup with ice in 2017 for a cool 10-15 pods and it was nothing but great episodes. If Mal had to step aside to make this work then that's fine with me

Think y’all are confusing the lack of censorship from Ice & Ish with good podding. I think they’re doing good so far, and their lack of industry relationships is a plus considering their discussions, and being able to give their unfiltered takes. But all that will 100% change if they straight up replace Mal & Rory. Ice maybe would keep some edge.

Idk man, I actually took a break from actively listening to the pod for the 10 or so episodes before the Mal and Rory strike. S*** started to get lowkey boring and predictable, all the verzuz talk, no real convos, the occasional funny moments. it just wasnt hitting the same

Nah before Ice and Ish I stopped listening because every ep was becoming Rory wants to fight Joe, random interview, and Mal chilling. If this isn’t good podding (which I disagree with) cool but it’s definitely better than what it was just 2 months ago. I’ve been listening from the very beginning too.

now would be the perfect time

to rebrand again

and use the indie / jersey angle with the direction and freedom of speech
