Spotify paying Joe Rogan is what seems to have caused all this s***. Of course Joe's price was inflated but that's because they tryna get a portion of the market from his listeners. Why tf Joe think cause joe got 100 he entitled to 75, then Gillie 40 and scottie Beam 5 mil. Like wtf does Joe be talking

U tripping bro. If your logic is Spotify payed Rogan a premium so they can corner his fan base then JBP should get a premium as well because Spotify did the same thing with them to test the waters to see if it was viable

why would they pay jbp a premim when they already got his fanbase over to the platform paying?

difference is they don't have the rogan fanbase (or didn't at the time)

how many people that spotify got paying are really going to cancel their entire spotify membership just bc they aren't on there? Especially since it loos like jbp aren't going to AM or Tidal, so if they cancel spotify they have to find a new way to stream music etc etc

you're taking joes word on that, there is nothing else but joes word that suggests 9 million (unless i'm wrong and happy to be proven if so)

also Spotify clearly at this point are more than happy to let them walk

although neither party takes an L, Spotify clearly walk away with the bigger W in this case imo especially with the entry this gave them into the podcast game and the moves they're making now stemming from them getting JBP, they've done pretty well

I really wish the best for JPB though, this could be a huge moment for them or I could see it being the start of a decline

They average around 3 million listeners per episode

They have done two episodes per week for Spotify the past two years

Not really hard to believe that they might have generated 9 figures

And don't think Spotify and wanted them to walk

You’re the one who said they paid Rogan a premium for his fan base. My point is if that’s the case then JBP deserves a premium for setting the table for them to do so.
