There was something he said about how, the podcast is his biggest asset (along those lines), but it was bringing in the least money, he was getting a lot more money from revolt, Pull Up interviews, and elsewhere.

So he was continuing with the podcast because its kind of like his "homebase" which I get. But after a while they realized that Spotify wasn't really acknowledging the fact that they were #1 for like a year? according to them. Dude hasn't really said anything that would make someone believe he's in the right. You need to negotiate s*** like that into your contract otherwise the other party does NOT have to respect it. It's really open & shut.

Again, Spotify could show more love throughout the term of the contract, but they don't HAVE to. People even include THAT in their contracts; some kind of revaluation after a certain point in time or once some other milestone is reached through another metric
