mals bias against 50 is so f***ing trash breh. man still in shambles cause 50 went against jay and some other roc artists.
That wasn’t it
It was his comments on men not being able to be sexually taken advantage of by women
i know it’s been static between joe and gillie so joe’s delivery may have been exaggerated.
but gillie and mal are showing how out of touch with the movement they are if they’re trying to say “what about black on black crime” when addressing BLM. the black on black crime conversation is used to muffle BLM. and perpetuating it shows a lack of awareness and intelligence.
the system we’re protesting is what leads to a lot of the harm we bring to each other. saying “we gotta care about each other before we want them to care” is COMPLETELY stupid because 1. if you’re black and commit a crime against a black person, you’re not getting off. 2. we already do care. i’ve been to several stop the violence rallies growing up. niggas are not just cool with dying at the hands of each other. 3. no amount of being nice to each other will make cops stop killing us. the goal post will always be moved. we’re asking to be seen as humans and have equal human rights, not special privileges we should have to earn first.
if you have anything other than support of a phrase as simple as “Black Lives Matter”, you
a.) hate black people
b.) lack basic thinking skills
lol like as basic of an idea as our lives MATTERING is
i wish i would tell a nigga that our lives are important and we shouldn’t be killed by the people we’re paying to protect us and he tries to mention black on black crime.
what the f*** are you talking about my nigga???
i’m not chasing the tail in circles with niggas in 2020.

when you actually come from these communities though they probably feel they have a much higher chance of a nigga killing them than a cop
like of course any cop stop could be your day but you going to the store and making eye contact with someone for a second too long could also make it your day
people dont wanna acknowledge this bc white supremacists love to throw it in your face when you say BLM but its not NOT an issue. and granted it shouldn't be used as a 'rebuttal' to BLM.
of course we can go into the convo of Reagan, Systemic Racism, War on D****, why the hood is the hood, etc. but its gon be 300 years from now and niggas still gon use that as the reason if there isn't an effort made by the "culture" to let niggas know how wack that s*** is
the thing no one also wants to acknowledge is that much of our music also promotes these mentalities subconsciously (on top of whatever socioeconomic factors may already be weighing on someone)
its like the people who actually live in those communities are like "We're tired of niggas being niggas" and people who moved out the hood a long time ago or never really lived there scream back and even non black people who dont really have a place in the convo at all "stop being mad at niggas youre surrounded by murder and crime because ronald reagan"
lol its a really wild dynamic when you think about it
these the same niggas that when MLK was marching for equal rights were probably saying “man we should treat the next black man good first”
yeah OF COURSE black people should be good to each other but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have basic human rights my nigga.
elijah mcclain, an autistic child with not a negative bone in his body gets killed by cops for no reason and we should say it’s okay because we gotta fix black on black crime first? do niggas realize how they sound bro lol. we can work on fixing all of it rn and you trying to use that as a counter to the movement makes me doubt how much you care about changing any of it because you should act on all of it.
and eliminating system racism will completely dampen the harm we do to each other. but you have to shut the f*** up and LISTEN to understand it.

mal still mad at 50 for exposing his favorite rapper ross
Mal my guy that was hard to listen to BUT I definitely dont think we should be cancelling him tho thats stupid

Not to mention black on black crime is a myth. White gangs existed before and that s*** wasnt called white on white crime. The average peadophile is a middle class white man but that isnt called a white crime. We need to end the usage of ‘black on black violence’ in general

mf would rather side with a correctional officer than one of the most legendary people from his city

honestly didnt even care about that s***, ross dropped teflon don and rich forever.
mal crazy for thinking 50 wont wash ross tho

respect to the dead but ironically if MLK never wanted so badly to sit at the white man's table and we did focus on "treating the next black man good first" we probably would still be in integration but 50-60 years later (1950 till now) s*** probably would be closer to equal if we weren't completely ahead of them, knowing what we know now about how important we were culturally. Nike isn't Nike without Michael Jordan. Interscope and potentially Universal isn't that without Dre/50/Pac/Em/Suge/Snoop. We shifted so many important corporate dynamics in the past 50 years to where if we focused on ourselves instead of integration we'd be our own independent entity and in a much better position.
But instead we stuck on making it out of the hoods and economic situations they put us in when we begged to sit at their table so we can't think about equity and control, just signing bonuses, royalties and advances.

The term black on black crime is some bullshit
But the idea that reckless crime and violence is ok because other races do it only wins arguments against white supremacists on the internet and doesn't actually help us as a people who are firmly 50 years beyond the war on d**** and probably aren't ever gonna get whatever we're looking for from "them" to systemically fix those wrongs

Yeah i get you, im not trying to justify it, just stating the hypocrisy of the usage of it.

50 Cent is a joke these days

because he's trolling on ig? lol
Exactly. Clown character.
like the jbp doesnt make a living off being chatty pattys and joking on other people..

Joe Budden always been a clown still love him. 50 Cent be trying to disrespect people though I’m not a big fan of it.

here’s my thing, i don’t invalidate the actual conversation on the harm we do to each other. i truly value every life. i think about fragile life is daily, so even though we don’t really kill each other in an insane amount in proportion to any other group, i would like the number to be zero.
my thing is if we gonna have the conversation, let’s have the conversation, but waiting until it’s the BLM conversation to bring that up is a clear diversion and i have a huge problem with that. a lot of niggas from the street, the suburbs and even white people wait until we talking about facing genocide from the police state to bring that up and that’s where i no longer entertain your conversation.
it’s the same thing as me for people that wait until women talk about being raped to say “men get raped too”. it’s a diversion that isn’t meant to open a dialogue and lead to change, but is meant to stop a dialogue that would lead to change and now cause us to run around in circles.
because the fight goes deeper than just police brutality. our lives have not mattered when it comes to education, health, housing and more. a lot of niggas get robbed and killed because a lot of niggas are poor, and that’s how it’s been designed to go. i would say a lot of it does come from rap culture as well. and a lot of the people in the BLM movement push against violent lyrics and stereotypes. the movement is not co-signing or boosting the disenfranchisement of our people from anybody.
also, just to say itt for Mal and Gillie type of thinkers, the terms Black Trans Lives Matter and All Black Lives Matter and Say Her Name were not just created for police brutality. they were created to amplify the stories and bring awareness to all the cis and trans women who have been brutalized, most often by BLACK MEN.
so BLM is actively protesting black people killing each other as well. but you would never know if you’re yapping off at the mouth all day instead of listening and following the people doing the work. you not apart of the movement if you’re parroting anti-black deflections to get the movement off track nigga.

you’re right, it is BS that was created to hurt the perception of our people at large.
i was using it for the sake of the convo but i’m not even gonna validate it by saying it anymore even in that context

Towards the end of his life, like 2 weeks iirc before he was assassinated, he gave an interview with NBC, pretty much regretting integration. He said he felt like he led his people into a burning house.
The problem with segregation though, while it's true it would make the black community ultimately way more self-sufficient, we'd always have major set backs like Tulsa, and the Harlem Riots.
