I don’t have Spotify so I always watch on YouTube. The downside is not getting to hear the music played during the pod good
Podcasts are free big dawg
Them niggas got real passionate about the Dre vs Ye Topic
They podding podding
Didn’t know Troy Ave had a podcast but I’m not trying to listen to that s***. What did he say about Joe?

Joe just bullshits the whole time and it goes nowhere
Why’d Rory get so passionate about Joe not watching the BET awards?
You can always tell when theyre mad at each other and start fighting about s*** that they deep down dont really care about just because theyre upset
this is one of those times

For sure, I was actually thinking before I started listening to the show how they all haven't really went at in a long time. There'll be little minor things here and there but there were back to back weeks of them going at each other's necks damn near the whole episode; I wanna say like late last year or so. It was annoying to listen to.
Today's episode, I feel like Rory was annoyed the whole episode and the result was them arguing about Joe not wanting to watch the BET awards. Either that or Emotional Oranges are performing in one of those up and coming things that they'd have before the commercial break.

Yeah i wanna say it was like 3-4 episodes. There was so much underlying tension it was ruining the show.
Everything seemed fine til Rory made that shade room comment and then the joke about girls sharing apartments in atl that they shut down. After that it was off.

The Troy Ave podcast sounds NUTS nuts.
Havent listened yet but bet the debate was:
Joe saying Dre and backing it up with bullshit reasons that have nothin to do with nothin.
Rory tearing his ass up with ancestral drunken Irish rage, letting his inner Ye fan out to box.
Mal agreeing with Rory and checking Joe.
Parks agreeing with Joe but calls out when Joe wildin.
I ain’t watching that, but Dre>>>>>>>Kanye in terms of hits, impact, influence etc.

i feel like the most comparable situation was watch the throne or paul mccartney/ye and in both situations the music was controlled by kanye's people. i'm guessing they forgot those weird 2015 singles happened but paul mccartney is a bigger deal in music than dr dre, so if the biggest artist songwriter oat can leave his music with mike dean, ye and ty dolla $ign to do whatever they want with then so can dre
Lmfao when Joe was going at them about friendships and introverts too

i don't disagree but they're for different generations tho. that's what paul said when he worked with kanye, the beatles can obviously s*** all over ye if they wanted to with everything they'd done from records broken to having nina simone cover their songs but at the end of the day, for his era it's hard to say many producers or musicians more important than kanye. it's like the era before Dre quincy/prince would have been those guys, i feel like dre and kanye probably have a lot more mutual respect than joe was trying to make out. kanye even says on college dropout he bit xplosive

Joe was backing it up by indirectly saying Kanye isnt s*** like he always does basically
Joe and Parks dont ever explicitly say it but they think Kanye is overrated as an artist.

i get this vibe from them but that's not how Joe was talking about Ye around Pablo, so it feels like after the Trump stuff and the quality of music dropping people like Joe have started to knock ye's entire career more. joe is probably like a lot of hip hop heads who prefer kanye when he's producing for other people

Also joe kinda touched on it a lil when when they brought up Cudi and he said to rory “i dont put respect on any of the rappers you hipsters ushered in”. I think Joe views Kanye similarly as someone who gets too much gas from “hipsters” (which he really means white people)

do you remember what pod that was
I never expected Joe to like Cudi but I'm interested in hearing him discuss him
