In the midst of the Joe and Adam s*** one thing I haven’t seen mentioned is the difference in how Joe treats members of the pod/network and them doing content vs Adam. Adam saw the success of AD and T-Rell and seems to now be signing his other talent under contracts that would give no jumper ownership over the content they make. Idk what Freeze and Library signed but Freeze bounced from twitch to caffeine going after a streamer bag. You can say some bad s*** about Joe but seemingly having that freedom and that being encouraged is understated. A bit of an independent label vs major label approach.

there was a much more interesting conversation to be had about having agency over your body and how that meshes with boundaries a partner may have. and also, what’s implied by certain decisions a partner may make.

like the fact that ish equated wearing a risqué outfit against your partners wishes to going on a date or having an affair is the true reason why i think joe was calling his point misogynistic, but instead of getting to the root, they argued in circles on semantics.

like if you think your girl wearing that ciara dress means you might as well take another chick on a date, what do you think her wearing that dress actually means? does it mean she’s willing to cheat on you? are you afraid that she’s opening the door to that? they could have actually asked some questions and got to a better, more interesting convo than remixing the “wearing tights around my homeboys” convo

Yah that's kinda my issue with Ish in general. He's not open to certain conversations. Joe was clearly trying to expand the conversation but the moment he did Ish jumped to a hyperbole. I like Mel on the pod cause she's pushes them to unpack things they would normally say "yeah I'm not touching this"

what’s crazy is i think they believe they’re more than locker room talk. sometimes they are. but oftentimes they step on each other before they can really expand and get deeper in certain convos
