Yeah they’ve been doing BI in Alex/Weezy’s studio cause I’m pretty sure Schulz is leaving his current studio where they usually do BI & Flagrant 2 & looking for a new one

Like 2 weeks ago Andrew made a passing remark about leaving the studio on Flagrant 2 so I assume they started breaking down the BI room since the lease would end in December

The crazy part to me about the downfall of the JBP is that episodes with Ice and Ish are good, they’re definitely better than M&R last year on the pod. But Joe had to be an d***head about the break-up, which turned everybody off. Episodes don’t even crack 200k after 2 weeks.

Not surprised about the network failing, they picked the wrong type of shows and Joe rarely never talks about his own s***. I listen to The Ringer pods, Bill Simmons always promotes, guest hosts, collabs with the people on his network.

I hate to see it bc im still clinging to the good old memories. that said, this is not on anybody but. super excited for Rory and Mal still

Guest is not the issue lol. The breakup with Roy & Mal just put on full display the type of person Joe is/can be.

Oh I’m talking about continued growth of his flagship pod. While the episodes are good it’s just a bunch of homies chatting. The format needs to be updated. So if I miss one, there’s a reason for me to go back and listen. That’s why the interview format seems to work really well for other pods of similar stature.

That’s a big part of why it’s been so successful. Because it’s just homies hanging out. Joe always said he doesn’t want guests I wouldn’t expect anything to change.

Although he does have an occasional guest every once in awhile.

I agree. That’s why it’s been successful. But with the change of hosts people need something to bring them in. That would be guests. Besides all the foolishness what has taken place the pod has hit its ceiling IMO. All bias aside I actually prefer the new hosts. They do give it more than the old guys (especially more than Mal). But there becomes a point with any content you consume what’s the point and why should I keep listening.
