One of my fav films in the last couple years. Script is pure crack, the 4 were all great. And Olivia managed to direct a single apartment movie with so much character, style, flare. So much clever framing and choices with the camera being made every single second for an hour and 40 mins. And Seth Rogan’s straight man reactions were gold. So much funny stuff barely being picked up on camera as he’s reacting to it all unfolding

  • seeing this in 35mm on wednesday

  • might get zooted before

    They're not similar at all

    solely riffing on the names

    They're not similar at all

I would argue that there are some similarities but not anything plot wise.

  • Just found out this is a remake (?) of a Spanish film that came out in 2020 and there’s already been 4-5 other remakes of this film in other countries including this one

  • Olivia Wilde followed up her ambitious film Don’t Worry Darling and fired on all cylinders with her second comedic masterpiece. a perfect mix of comedy and drama with the tightest script of the year. everyone turned in an hysterical performance, with my highlights being Olivia Wilde and Seth Rogan, who is having quite the career renaissance. I left the theater and immediately wanted to watch this again.

    10/10

  • This might end up being my favorite comedy of the year. I wasn’t big on Don’t Worry Darling but I’m glad Olivia swung back with this one. It’s the combination of a great script and focused direction here that I admire. It’s probably going to be the most visually interesting comedy of the year to me. Like there is some excellent framing using the single location that the film takes place in. This also felt very warm, and I even felt a sense of coziness by the end. The final shot might also be my favorite final shot of the year.

    5/5

  • Didn't know anything about this when I went in...fantastic movie wow . Haven't laughed that hard at a movie in forever. The script was amazing and the cast really sold it. S*** even the score really enhance the whole thing.

Good to see everyone loving this may catch it monday or tuesday

  • This was really great

Performances, writing, score, directing, and incredible use of a single location

Also Penelope Cruz it's been too long

  • PUFF SHENRON

    Tom cruise in this joint?

No but I feel like maybe he was supposed to play Norton's character at some point? Can't seem to find anything confirming that but I could see Cruise in the role when watching it
