when they get really explosive and noisy , i do find them amazing

but theres a lot of ways in which i relate to it, i guess sometimes i feel like me and my songwriter partner is chasing the new york version of that, but other days i just find it very self involved

yea i didnt go to an ivy but went to a t30 liberal arts school and his conversation about aesthetics felt like a freshman rambling without reading the material, i was a bit disappointed
not that u need to be well read to make great art

i can't listen to him talk in interviews or talks it's insufferable, sounds like a dumb person trying to sound smart. I don't think he's dumb by any means, his art is generally pretty creative and original, that's just how he sounds

fwiw ive hung w them on two occasions
had the same perception, but they ended up being some of the most down to earth/nice people and funny guys
the thing that ruined parts of hanging w them is when someone who knew them would run up because their fan base is just essentially people who cosplay as them

i can 100% see that, some of the interviews are so smoked u cant tell what its really like to chill with them
