The first rap grammy was won by Will Smith & him among other artists (i wanna say Queen Latifah was one), boycotted it cos it wasnt televised. I think now they do it on a ‘pre-telecast’ on youtube etc

Tbf there mightve been exceptions where some of them were on TV cos i dont really follow the grammys like that
