Cube is so underrated man. One of the greatest primes of all time. 4 straight classic albums(including NWA), one of the best beef records ever, platinum albums and hits--oh, and he actually rapped about stuff that mattered. Cube is top 5 all time, regardless of coast
i think movies hurt Cube's perception. and his lack of presence beyond his own generation. Like Snoop was on Chronic 2001, No Limit, had Drop It Like It's Hot, etc. Everyone's point of reference for Cube is early to mid 90s rap wise

Bar for bar, I really do think he is Top 3 for sure out the west coast, as a lyricist.
I'm not talking about song writer or who makes the best music, but he could outrap Kendrick imo.

Dec 11, 2025He can rap, but I feel like he hasn’t had s*** tonal about since his first couple of albums. And I don’t think he’s as nice as some people make it seem, he’s just more lyrical than your typical gangster rapper from the West of his era
