You just know OP was happy as f*** when they started changing artstyles and it looked like anime for a little bit. These AI slop creators really know how to appeal to reddit-brained people

AI can create some cool visuals no doubt but I think its far from being able to create full end to end Hollywood-level production.

Sure the tech is getting better faster but there are major flaws in the system.

On top of that literally ALL the AI "film" sizzle reels I see are special effect based "wow" moments. And mouthbreathers online equates that with "Hollywood is cooked". Anyone with an ounce of brain power should know that cinema is way more than that.

I'm not saying it wont disrupt film production, in many ways it probably already has. I'm sure AI tooling are used to augment visual effects, used in early drafts etc. But that's all it is, a tool that can help tell the story amongst many other tools.

Realistically we will probably see a new category of AI films in the future but it ain't eradicating traditional filmmaking.

Ain't nobody trying to see AI versions of Manchester by the Sea or The Departed.

I would like all the doubters to watch this and tell me Ai isnt the future of cinema

Feels like this video (same with the Pitt v Cruise fight) basically amounts to fanfiction but from the bodybuilder.com forums as opposed to tumblr or something.

Another thing that seems to get ignored in all of this is the actual CRAFT. That is key in the end.

The passion, the obsession, the will to see what’s often times an arduous task to the end, that sense of accomplishment when you look at the fruits of your labors, that’s all rendered null and void with this.

Imagine being upset when its technical marvels here. Animating something like that would take millions of dollars and months of hard labor and it can literally just be done on the computer now

How? The blockbuster movies that come out are all forgotten within 2 years max. Why are you guys all of a sudden pretending human made films hold some significance it hasnt in a long time?

This caps it that this is a straight troll job lmao cannot believe I took the bait.

the video in op got 800k views in 6 days, and its 15 seconds long. ai content is being introduced on every single large media platform whether people enjoy it or not. and its now popularly used in non-ai memes thereby making it more and more acceptable on all levels. im not saying this to make fun of you or be overly negative or sound assured but people like you and i no joke have to be mentally prepared for being in the vast minority in terms of ai content consumption. because it just might contribute to cynicism and disillusionment not just in the internet but in life as a whole. tldr dont ever kill yaself!!

It's funny seeing folks who idolize Chinese people (orientalism) find out how common and accepted AI slop is in China, goes to show that this is an transnational epidemic not confined to the West

THIS. I heard AI is great at doing short clips but struggles to do anything longer than a minute let alone a full length movie.

And most importantly AI will never be able to write a script better than an actual human writer. So writers will always have a job 100%
