This. People are acting like this is a BvS level travesty. It’s not great, but it’s not terrible either. It’s just okay, and that’s fine. It only exists to erase a universe that most people weren’t on board with.

This movie, just like most superhero movies are just bland. There's no heart to it. Everyone trying to be comical & theres never any depth to the stories. Not sure why the genre is so popular anymore.

Agreed, but I did feel emotion with Barry’s family story. The relationship that formed between both Barry’s and then having to “kill” his mom… dad locked up. It worked for me

These movies just seem to never have enough time to do everything they want. So central themes get squished down so other side s*** can be shoved in. Idk how movies are made so not sure how to make it better, just my observation.

For example, younger Barry going insane attempting to fix the past at the end. That is a really cool idea to explore but it all happened in like 15 minutes - while also being the time they dumped a lot of the fan service (which happened to be a big s***ty CGI moment).

The things that worked well were really great. But the pacing and bad CGI shined awfully when they were on display.

The CGI wasn't all that but then again the movie seemed a bit trippy so aesthetically it was a fit 🤷🏾‍♂️

He gonna change it again thinking it's all good then we complete all batman cameos with the best one, Christian Bale

That was like a 4/10 movie. Maybe 5/10 idk. It was all over the place, the humor wasn’t timed right and often came off as try hard and obnoxious. The movie felt like a fever dream, and the effects looked ai generated. That third act was atrocious. I’ve never tapped out on a movie so quick. They’re going to hell for wasting sasha Calle as supergirl. There was no development. No rhyme or reason to anything she was doing. “Fuck humans, I’m with krypton, oh no Zod and them are killing humans, f*** krypton” like she didn’t just kill 20 niggas on her way out (I fully support that btw but let’s keep things morally consistent).

Then she flies barry up to get struck by lightning. I thought we already established that that only works in conjunction with the chemicals? What’s flying him up there gonna do besides look cool? Then to cap off her “arc” they just end up killing her off like 20 times and then erasing her from the timeline. LMAOOOOO

And both barrys were just too f***ing cringe in all their social interactions. Even the og one. I don’t care if that’s a carryover from zack’s cut it was so much more balanced there than here. This Ezra version of Barry Allen cannot carry a movie. Even if they can carry the emotional beats of the story like talking to Barry’s mom it’s just too f***ing much. I don’t even care that they acknowledge how annoying he is. It doesn’t make it better.

As for Keaton, good for him that he got to be Batman again, but this was only as a result of focus tested corporate shareholder dumb dumb thinking. You can’t tell me this is the movie the director wanted to make. You don’t do flashpoint as his first f***ing movie, even if he’s already established. There was a simple way to make a good flash movie, and in taking the most complicated way they made a very bad one. Entire sequences of nostalgia bait and pandering, little to no characterization of characters who have been introduced or who desperately need it as a result, no flash villains introduced just a surface level rehashing of an already stale man of steel plot because we gotta bring the Snyder boys in somehow. Like who the f*** was this movie made for??

Don’t even get me started on the score. Whoever composed this went to the Danny elfman school of generic and monotonous movie scores. S*** sounds like temp music or something you would find in the superhero theme section of a sync library (with the exception of the Batman theme I understand it’s iconic but me personally I always thought it was ass)

Just awful. All the way around. I’m beyond disappointed. What an abysmal way for the dceu to end.
