We gotta talk about how influential this movie was. From combining rebooted characters with previous incarnations to how speed scenes are shot

Jun 20, 2023Just saw this. All of the hate was severely overblown in my opinion.
Movie definitely has its flaws but overall it’s an enjoyable watch.
Main issues I had with it were the CGI and some story decisions.
As someone who’s disliked almost every single DCU movie besides a couple, this is easily one of its best offerings.
The Ezra drama + the DCU dissolving is a little upsetting because I would honestly love to see a sequel to this film

It’s too inside baseball
Think about your average Joe. Watches sports, doesn’t read comics, maybe has seen The Batman and the Nolan films. He walks into the Flash and bam, there’s Ben Affleck’s Batman. Then when the multiverse of it all comes into play, there’s Keaton. The person who doesn’t have any Batman knowledge beyond the Nolan films won’t know the significance of Keaton’s Batman. Then the whole third act is pulled from Man of Steel.
I think the point of this is that The Flash is a pretty inaccessible movie to someone who hasn’t seen any DCEU movies. So it’s harder for someone to take a friend to see this who hasn’t seen any other DCEU films. I think the movie does a good job explaining a few of these things but there’s no significance to outsiders outside the exposition

This happened with my cousin he didn't understand what was happening with Michael Keaton Batman
and didn't remember flash was from justice league since it was almost 6 years ago
