Some say the fall began during the total solar eclipse of August 2017. Prior to this event, no solar eclipse had been visible across the entirety of the United States since June 8, 1918. 100 years ago. Now just 7 years after the August 2017 total solar eclipse there is another one. April 8th 2024. This one travelling perpendicular to the previous one and forming an X across America.
