There’s 100 issues plaguing the black community that are far more serious than colourism

    Horse s***

Colorism is f***ing routed in black lives growing up and gets casually tossed out

Males too if the media is female-centric (and marketed to a white audience) a lot of times. Bridgerton is a recent example of apparent colorism.

yeah that too, they need to be palatable to white audiences

How has colourism had a signifcnwt negative impact on black lives?

What the hell is op talking about? Most black male leads are of a darker complexion. If anything the issue is the lack of light skin A-list actors (sans literally only Will Smith) cause mainstream America views lighter skin=more feminine so light skin male leads aren’t masculine enough

Stop watching Tyler Perry movies. Colourism is nearly a non-existent issue that has almost no true effect on the black community

Imma just keep it real: 95% of the time I hear a conversation about colourism, it’s usually with regards to a woman being salty that a man picked a “lightskin” woman over her with regards to romance. That is a non issue.

People just thought he was hot. If he was ugly and fat but light skin people wouldn't like it as much either.
