Drake <3
knew when he posted this last year and the summer vibes were nowhere to be found it was over
‘Summer vibes’ was prepping that lawsuit

When an artist says a season it’s 100% guaranteed nothing is coming in said season.
Album is so bad.
it has some classics on it

I think maybe it has none. It’s so shallow. Like a transparent piece of art.

Intro, Fair Trade, N 2 Deep, IMY2 all amazing
but if I'm being honest I think the downfall started with Scorpion

You’re correct. That was his first “straight to streaming” album.
op made the same variation of this thread 5 times already
That's how bad he wants us to believe in what he's selling

Cappin out ya ass.
Majority of my threads are Pro Drake.
I'm just being a realist in this one.
20 years in the game. A good 10-11 years at the very top. He's an absolute legend. Won some battles and loss some battles its all good. He's in the pantheon, show love. He need to embrace his legacy act/icon status now.
He got some hits off $$$4u and its selling well, seems like he's doing pretty good post beef tbh

Tell that groupie the truth
You real
Thank you for the post, person that watches anime. With that in mind, I have discarded your opinion.
i mean, Nokia is still the biggest new song of the year and it still gets people going
if you wanna hear the drake album in public.. then put on the drake album yourself
niggas got access to billions of music around the world and choose to only talk about drake
Drake stans clinging to Nokia reminds me of Ye stans clinging to Carnival last year.
It's legit the only sustainable hit out of a 21 song album where Drake dropped 4 singles and the album had months worth of promo.
That said, I do think Drake is still popular and he's still able to put up big streaming numbers with his tracks and projects. And nobody has taken his lane from him yet. Jack Harlow was supposed to but he's such a watered down mid version of Drake that nobody would take him over the real McCoy.
Basically, Drake is still a dominant figure just off of name recognition and staying hot for so long but he's no longer deemed to be in his prime or at his peak anymore. So, he's kinda in a similar spot as post Carter 4 Wayne. You can draw some parallels there because, even when Wayne was still putting up some numbers after C4, it was clear he was no longer THAT guy anymore.
And it's fine because Drake is approaching 40. He's not as huge with the kids as he used to be but he'll always have lots of fans who support him and grew up on him to ride for him even in the midst of the beefs and antics.
This doesn’t matter at all and it isn’t even relevant to what he’s saying lmao
Drake has been the commercial #1 for years but he has never been the most influential or impactful in any category for hip-hop as a genre literally at all
Most of today’s rap game takes after the Future’s, Thug’s, Wayne’s, Keef’s etc.
It comes down to how we’re defining era here but it should be a lot more deeper than just who’s the most popular imho. Curry completely changed the game of basketball and all of his success was homegrown and organic
Y’all love Lebron on here though so I already know how this is gonna pan out
it's not Curry's era unfortunately, he was only acknowledged as a transcendent player of the 2010s from 14/2015 onwards
We have to respect the work people put in, Kawhi (on a lower level
) will never be in certain conversations either because of similar reasons
Curry is the greatest shooter ever & the most impactful individual for the 3pt boom but the Harden Rockets were very influential for that too, as soon as Harden got there (12/13) they shot to the top of the league in 3pointers attempted.
Curry hadn't even been recognised as an all star player yet (although I'd argue he was great from the beginning of his career despite the injuries holding him back slightly)
