It’s def a lil of the “old Kanye” effect when you frame it like that won’t lie

But imo like my own experiences as a Drake fan. The new s*** don’t hit the same on a number of diff levels. A lot of glimpses or sparks here and there but even FATD which I liked well enough more than most I stopped listening to almost entirely less than a year on. Her Loss which I was super high on same story. Like if certain songs come on shuffle I wont skip em but it’s rare I seek em out just to do it like I would with certain older tracks

I think “old drake” is partially an effect of growing up and out of his music to an extent too idk. There’s def a valid convo to be had about it all

Even before that, ktt was calling Views views boring and unispired. Its the same narratives with every new Drake album. The problem for them is that streaming allows us too see which album stands the test of time and every Drake album keeps aging greatly
