When Deadline first broke the news Gosling was in negotiations to star, we also learned that the film was set to shoot in Los Angeles this summer after receiving a California Tax Credit. The project was unable to move off its targeted date and because of this scheduling could not be worked out with the studio and Gosling to close a deal.
