MFs was hyping up Hilary like it was gonna be Hurricane of the year!

And once it dropped, it wasn’t even that lit!

Hilary came and went like Utopia frfr!

but still better to be safe than sorry with these things. storms are very unpredictable which is why it's hyped up.

Damn so many spots I don’t even know where to begin, @emu is the San Diego expert here tho

My two fav spots whenever I’m down there are Coronado and Balboa Park

A couple of days is not that long to do much. I would stick to things that are close to where you are staying. Don't feed the pigeons, don't feed the sea gulls, don't feed the homeless, don't feed the squirrels or the sea lions. Thank you.

    • There is CRSSD festival in a week if you are into EDM or maybe that's what you are here for? There's also Miramar Air Show that weekend if you are some Top Gun stan. Pacific Islander Festival if you like that. Basically no matter where you go that weekend something interesting will be going on.
    • Balboa Park is always nice, it also has San Diego Zoo and a bunch of museums.
    • Nice walks: Seaport Village, Old Town, Little Italy, Liberty Station are beautiful too and can be reached by light rail.
    • For some beautiful views: Mt Soledad (free), Cabrillo National Monument ($20), Kate Sessions Neighborhood Park (free great for picnics pic above), Mission Bay (free)
    • Beaches: Pacific Beach for the bars and if you like it busy, Coronado Beach if you just want a big sandy beach to chill, La Jolla Beach if you want to see sea lions, dolphins and surfers I guess, Blacks Beach nudists, Imperial Beach is beautiful but it's too far away don't bother.
    • LGBTQ Hillcrest. Everything is pretty much there but SD is very LGBTQ friendly if you happen to be born this way.
    • Anything rare and unusual in SD: I like this guide

Public transit is ok but a rental car or uber will get you around way better.

Yea couple days not gonna be enough to fully experience SD, but it’s just somethin u thought would be fun as a weekend getaway seeing as I’ve never been to SD and it’s within driving distance from LA.

This is what I got planned so far

D1: La Playa Taco Shop > Balboa Park > Cabrillo national monument > Sushi Ota

D2: La Jolla Trail/Beach > salk institute > The Fishery

Excited the most to try the food. I got a couple homies who are from SD and they always say SD got better Mexican food than LA. Also I remember seeing “the best poke spot in Southern California being in SD on one of those IG pages but I forgot the name of it. The Fishery is also a tossup so if u know a better food spot then I’d for sure consider it
