@YoungNastyShawty Eric how you get into podcasting and how do you set up interviews with artists and such? Any tips? Thinking about getting into it myself.

I really don’t know too much about starting a podcast but, setting up interviews really just go by how much you email people mangers/sometimes even dm them. Getting to know publicist and A&R’s will help as well. Once u build up a catalogue u can go from there. But the way I started and the way I’m still doing it is just by sheer luck. But I know most people just network as most as they can

Yeah I was curious how to start from scratch because it seems kinda daunting. I may just start with local acts but I need to build some sort of clout to be able to leverage myself. What was the sheer luck?

The fact that I even interview people wasn’t something that I planned. Long story short, Wifisfuneral (Was on XXL Cover a few years ago) hopped in our car to go to my friends house to buy a shirt and I ended up saying I interview artists to him (I didn’t) and that ended up being my first interview that next day. Just been finessing my way through the industry ever since lmao
