Yeah been going for more angels deals lately, its just hard to dodge red heart damage at times. Sucks when you get no demon or soul hearts in the early floors

It sucks but devil rooms were unfortunately needed bad. I agree it is a b****, but it’s the best strat to become crazy during a run.

Do you mean devil rooms being nerfed? If I have a lot of HP I usually go for devil rooms, but if not I go for Angels rooms. Angels Rooms seems to have more defensive items. I might be wrong tho

Came back to this game a couple weeks ago briefly. Very fun still. I actually think this was my first Rogue. One of my favorite genres now

I’ve bought Rebirth and all the dlc a few days ago and I’m really addicted. Can’t believe I haven’t tried this game all these years.

I play on hard mode and well I’ve got some serious skill issues but I’m committed to get better

When you get the powers and unlock that good s***, this game is so much fun. You just gotta install some quality of life mods from the steam workshop.
I installed a few

I played as Samson, hard mode, got to sheol and defeated Satan. Was shocked that I even made it that far in one run.

If the RNG feels too punishing, install the starting items mod from the Steam workshop. Also the external item description, that's a quality of life addition that can't be separated from the game
