I think I remember reading somewhere that part of the reason why we might not get those is because The Beatles recording process changed when they recordEd Sgt. Pepper, and something about the original tapes wouldn’t lend themselves to remixing as well as Post-Sgt. Pepper Beatles records.

Yeah I think so. I remember they did something different with their recording process on Sgt Pepper, but I can’t remember what it was specifically.

rubber soul - 09 mono
revolver - 09 stereo (need a new mix still)
sgt pepper - 2017 stereo mix
white album - both 09 and 2018 stereo mix
abbey road - og mix

The 2009 mono remasters for everything, don’t like it when the drums are only in one ear and stuff like that

mono of revolver is awful imo. at least the version of it I have. way too heavy for its time to have a mono mix. 2017 Stereo version of Sgt peppers the definitive version imo

Monos for everything pre-revolver for sure. at least for headphones listens.

Beatles got me into music as whole tbh

Would love it so much. White album new mix wasn't needed but was cool and abbey road new mix was kinda s*** tbh (kicks and the bass were so overpowering and it didn't sound much "cleaner" than the original mix).

Revolver on the other hand needs a new mix. The overall sound of the stereo and mono hasn't aged well. Mono destroying the quality and having sounds clash etc while the panning on the stereo just sounds so dated and doesn't really work anymore. All the pre-sgt peppers album should get a new mix.
