Jun 29, 2024Finally finished the season. Idk I liked it. I liked that it didn’t try to top the chaos of that oner episode from season 1 or the family episode from season 2 it went the opposite direction and slowed things down but it had way more emotional moments to me.
Can’t wait to rewatch and let episodes breathe a bit. Storer leveling up as a director too can’t wait till he ventures into making movies

Bigj713281Kinda want an origins episode for Sweeps next season after hearing his whole baseball journey. I thought the season was mid nothing really happens, and I’m not talking about plot wise I’m also talking about character wise as well. The chefs round table was boring. I would have liked carm be able to get some resolution after him talking to the chef. Everything he said was true like the whiplash the difference is miles character in whiplash understands he was pushed into becoming great carm doesn’t. I would have liked more Marcus in the season it would have cool to see the dessert he was working on. I hoped the filmed season 4 while they were doing 3 I need 4 asap. Maybe after 4 comes out I’ll appreciate 3 more.
Id have to disagree with nothing happening character wise the whole arc of the season was watching Carmy go cold and numb to his emotions to at the end realizing he’s becoming David. Id say Carmy and Richie changed the most this season
About season 4, it was supposed to film right after season 3 but apparently they had to delay cause scrips weren’t ready yet

Yeah, the way her episode shot looks more Altman-esque than the rest.
Like when the camera was just following Lisa and Mikey instead of just cutting between them (and Storer likes cutting to whoever talks at the moment)

Kr0niicJust watched the first episode. Technically very impressive and I get what they were going for tbh… but the edit itself was all over the place. Could have used a second edit to make things flow better and sequence it better.
I appreciate they tried to do something new here but kinda fell flat
Onto the rest of the season though!
i see what u mean but i disagree. some cuts land flat but overall it was a very very ambitious script + editing room
i think they delivered a fantastic episode that went beyond the scope of a typical flashback and really framed a lot of carmy's story from there forward + themes of this season

i thought the theme's and breakdown of carmys life up to that point were great. just for me personally the sequencing was all over the place and could be restructed. If it hit for you thats what matters though.
