On episode 6 and I’ve really liked this season. People are now starting to complain about not much happening like that hasn’t been the whole show since conception. It’s always been this hangout show at a Chicago restaurant.
Some of the dialogue can be cringe and they do flashback a lot but I still love this show and like hanging out with this cast of characters.
Jeremy Allen White has been killing it this season. That panic attack scene
Jamie Lee Curtis really kills her role, I know a few people who act just like her
That episode made me very emotional. The part where she pulls out the phone and plays the song :jordancry:
Carm pulling up on David
David made him look like a straight up b\*\*\*\* tbh, but he was spot on
It was part of his free throw routine so man was definitely high fiving teammates after licks
Nah that I’m not tripping on cus he touching mad s*** anyways. It’s the direct spit on the face and then immediately rubbing someone’s face or hair.
Or sometimes I’ll see ppl suck on a Q tip before cleaning they ears 🤮 Just use water

She brings pure diabolical energy every episode she’s in

Thank you! I don’t understand the “much doesn’t happen”
Season 1 the plot line was “getting enough money to pay off uncle” but that wasn’t the main thing, it’s not like Unc was sending goons to snap necks. That was like a background goal.
Season 2 was getting the place fixed up in time to release the new restaurant. But at the forefront was going on a journey with each individual character and watching them grow as an artist and person.
Season 3 has a background plot line also which is trying to get a star and will Sydney stay or leave but besides that like you said, it’s always been based around a hang out show at a restaurant and the emotional journey of each character. It’s never been a PLOT HEAVY show, this is character work.

Also I didn’t even know people found the dialogue to be cringe?
Maybe I’m missing something but I love the realistic nature of everyone tryna talk at once and the fast pace element where it’s almost hard to keep up.
“Fishes” is a masterclass of dialogue IMO with how they balance all them characters while showcasing the theme of generational trauma

Might just be a me thing. It has some great dialogue don’t get me wrong it’s just some parts like the Fak bros stuff that sticks out to me and feels like a different show at times

Dude is abusive as hell and wanted Carm to thank him for it ☠️
Just watched the first episode. Technically very impressive and I get what they were going for tbh… but the edit itself was all over the place. Could have used a second edit to make things flow better and sequence it better.
I appreciate they tried to do something new here but kinda fell flat
Onto the rest of the season though!
