It suffers from showtime’s inability to finish shows while they’re still on top, so a lot of the later seasons suck. I’d say if you want a throughly good watch and to spend a shorter time with the dysfunctional family, watch up to s4. If you start loving the characters and want to see it through, watch up to S7. Either one serves as a fulfilling finale more then the actual one and without the awful later seasons

But like proper said it’s good for the first couple seasons, then after a while it seemed like the writers didn’t really know what to do with the characters.

I’d definitely check it out until you start to lose interest in it, it’s worth it for Jeremy and Emmy Rossum alone

No lie the cheesy promo pics always made me think it was gonna be some corny CW show. But I did enjoy the movie from what I remember.

Oh yeah, NBC had no idea how to promote this show. It didn’t fit with the other shows on their network at the time, so they tried making it look like it fit.

Been trying to watch more television and film with a critical eye to feed into my own storytelling pursuits instead of watching stuff just being something to wait out my day/health problems
