Phenomenal season. They went a completely different direction for this season, and it’s way more ambitious

Season 1 was very claustrophobic, it feels like you spend almost all of the time in the kitchen and you are barely given anytime to see the outside world. The kitchen feels like the whole world

But with season 2 you spend almost no time in the restaurant, instead you spend a lot of time seeing the outside lives of each character.
The writers really flesh out all of the characters, and it really benefits the show

Yeah once you get in a kitchen for a busy restaurant be it high end, hotel/buffet or food chain you see how wild people can get. When i worked in the kitchen it was hard to describe some of the stuff I saw at work but the bear has been translation it pretty accurately.
