Tbh, I don't listen to much past 1971. I love the beach boys, but inconsistency has always been a problem for them.

i get too fatigued if i listen loudly for a long time, only do it if im intoxicated or just for like 1 hour at a time at the end of the day

i decided im not gonna do any more concerts without earplugs. after so many without

some of them are way too loud for me anyway like I saw Uncle Acid and it was ear splittingly loud and i would have enjoyed more with earplugs

@Elric it reminds me that burt bacharach was the major influence on lets go away for a while and in fact it turns out there was gonna vocals add on that song 😢 but capitol said u can only use that one last session to do mixing so they had to scrap it

anyway some dude in the 90s decided to write lyrics to it and add vocals making it even more bacharac esque song

it’s amazing
