The problem is that pointless 4th act that was only tacked on cause Reeves/WB were scared the first three acts weren’t epic enough for a big Batman film
Bruce’s arc doesn’t come full circle until he leads the citizens out of the water. It’s absolutely vital

The riddler harboring an army of lunatics online is pretty on par for how that could happen today, it was bubbling under all his antics and finally came full circle in the final act. Also the riddler is crazy so him killing the mayor is also inline with his character. Yall gotta stop rushing to have opinions sometimes. You mentioning her being “progressive” would mean nothing to someone thats mentally unstable
