wouldn't it obviously make more sense to get whoever is heading Batman The Brave and The Bold to be the head of spin-off stuff inside the DCU?

Having Matt Reeves, who is mainly working on Reevesverse stuff also dip in and be part of the DCU Arkham stuff is just odd.

The ReevesVerse is dark, grounded, and serious.

I can't imagine this show will be the same tone as The Batman so maybe the show will be more fantastical

A producer credit is such a nebulous thing lmfao this could literally mean as much as Gunn being inspired by the idea of Reeves intending to do an Arkham series like 2 years ago.

In my mind an Arkham show presumably focusing on Batman's rogue's gallery was always an odd fit for Battinson knowing he's still in the early years of his vigilante career and hasn't met his most notable villains yet.

Yeah now that I think about it more I agree. Reeves probably scrapped the idea a while back and Gunn probably asked if he could use the idea for the show with Reeves as a producer

i WANT Gunn's stuff to be more fantastical for sure. We haven't gotten that in live action done well really ever.

and a Gunn-Verse fantastical, gothic, very comic-booky Arkham Show is a fine alternative to a Reeves-Verse grounded Arkham show. it actually seems like better ground for something cool.

The more I think about the more this idea could cook. Gunn did say this Batman was in the game for a minute and he has a batfamily so his rogues gallery could be huge.

A Fantastical Batman in his prime with a BatFamily and a deep rogue gallery's is so dope.

I wanted a live action Batman arkham Movie or show for years so I'm happy either way. We almost got that with Afflecks Version that was supposed to be the plot of the Batfleck movie.

i hope they go deep on eerie historical gothic arkham lineage lore like the arkham games did

armadeus arkham founding the asylum in tribute to his mother who went crazy, he himself eventually going insane and being buried on the grounds

him leaving clues/writings for people to discover

quincy sharp eventually getting obsessed with finding his writings and finding out what happened, sending him crazy too

does arkham rehabilitate insane people or does it create them? the people in charge are doomed to crazy. Either because of an eerie mystic curse thing or because curing the inmates is such an impossible task cool stuff there for sure
