Me with this film franchise now that I'm getting a non realistic Batman film with all the characters inspired by the Morrison run featuring Robins and gadgets

Imagine wanting the most versatile superhero of all time limited like this
Where’s clay face

100%
I'm a nerd man and I love Batman not just one idea of him and for 20 something years it been just one version of him on the screen.
I'm ready as a fan for something new other then depressed loner in a crime film

Eh I disagree but that's probably based off of non movie stuff

Lmao what other option have most ppl had for live action Batman films in the last 18 years? There’s no other type of live action Batman for them to prefer

It's wild too cause the cartoons and games have been pretty much bigger then the films so you could argue people actually prefer Batman going on insane adventures

How is it limiting him? He’s at his best in darker, more realistic adaptations, the same way Spider-Man is at his best in lighthearted adaptations

Nolan, Snyder, and Reeves’s takes on Batman are all drastically different

Nolan, Snyder, and Reeves’s versions are three drastically different Batman adaptations
Thinking they’re all the same tonally is hilarious

The Arkham series is probably the most popular Batman adaptation and it’s very dark and takes itself pretty seriously for the most part

Me and you and other fans may know the little subtleties that make these three versions different but let’s be real for a second: they’re pulling from the same well of influences, basically look the same, and have a dark and gritty ‘realistic’ tone. They’re in the same lane and most people are gonna view it as such

It’s also fantastical and adventurous as s*** too tho. It’s not relegating Batman to being grounded. In all it’s gothic and horror elements it gets really zany and colorful

I don’t think they look the same at all
Nolan’s was very flat and the most real world adjacent
Snyder’s was the most mythic and larger than life
And Reeves’s so far has been very gothic, grungy, and noir adjacent
Still hoping for Robin in this
Yeah im hoping down the line too. Pattinson seemed like he was pushing hard for it. He said if he gets a robin he has to be around 13, but all Reeves really said is it has to make sense to bring a kid into that
Reeves calling this portion the crime saga has me thinking he has space for either easing fantastical and/or focusing on family expansion too. We'll prob never hear long term ideas from him tho
Still hoping for Robin in this
He just teamed up with bat woman and had his Alfred in danger
