To be fair, Matt Reeves says the same thing about himself. He’s admitted that he’s a very slow writer

henry braham and director for hire batman movie vs Reeves'

choice of which one to care about is clear

I ain't gonna hold you. I love The Batman. But i am tired of these grounded "Batman with realism" movies.

I am craving for a Batman movie where he jumps 15 feet in the air roundhouse kicking ManBat, Fighting Mr.Freeze with a winter coat on, and f***ing Poison Ivy without noticing the bed is a giant venus fly trap in disguise.

idrc who the director is. The DCU Batman is suppose to feature Damian Wayne, and other Bat Family members, and exist in a universe where we already know Clayface exists.
That just has me way more excited than a 5th Batman movie of solving a mystery where the villain is a grounded and realistic take of a normally over the top comic villain

I rather this come out first. Cause if the silly comic-y Batman comes out 1st and its good, im just not gonna have any interest in this anymore

The problem is all we have gotten from Batman films in the last 30 years is grounded (not counting DCEU because all of those are crossover films).

Not saying the grounded films are bad whatsoever. The Batman and TDK are two of my fav CBMs of all time, but it would be nice to see the more fantastical side of Batman now.

Mind you I’m one of the people who want Pattinson in the DCU but do it where he can juggle the grounded crime s*** AND the more fantastical aspects. It is doable

first 4 batman movies from burton and schumacher were NOT grounded. batfleck fiasco wasn't either. what are you saying man.

there's been more fantastical batman stories in adaptations than grounded. animation, games. it's always fantastical lol

Was it fantastical or was it just kinda silly? The furthest they went was Batman and Robin with Freeze, Bane, and Ivy. Then they reset the clock with Nolan.

And again, Batfleck never got his own solo film. He had a starring role in 2 films (plus cameos) where other heroes were also the lead characters. To be more precise, it’s been 28 years since there was a SOLO Batman film where the character went up against a mythical type character.

And when I say mythical I’m talking about like Man Bat, the real Ras Al Guhl (with the Lazarus Pit involved), Clayface, Killer Croc, etc. But the beauty of Batman is that HE CAN DO BOTH. I don’t see why Matt Reeves’ series CAN’T crossover with what James is building. At the end of the day, they’re all DC comic book characters.

Look if they end up actually making a second Batman movie series then it is what it is, I just don’t think they need to.

Again like what would be the NEGATIVE of bringing in Pattinson to the DCU.

Like what if James let Matt cook in his trilogy. Get that done, and the only time we see Batman deal with crazy s*** is with the Justice League.

Or the Reeves trilogy could be a prequel trilogy. There are so many ways to make it all work together.

"Oh but it would ruin the world from The Batman"

    Would it?

They haven't mentioned anything outside of Gotham in The Batman and Penguin. So what wider world?

    Also, remember these set photos?
