I just wouldn’t understand them doing that. That would mean Brave and the Bold is scrapped, and that the ReevesVerse exists in a fantastical world.

Look at the first Iron Man, giant mech suits aside, the world established in that movie is pretty grounded. I don’t see why that Gotham can’t exist in the same universe as Superman. Whatever Superman does is in Metropolis, why would Gotham be plastering stories about him when that’s the norm in the world?

What happens in The Batman and The Penguin is Gotham. Sofia blows a giant hole in the middle of the street using a car bomb, that’s a little out there.

I think it can work, the worry shouldn’t be “This Batman shouldn’t meet Superman” it should be if this Gotham being integrated would effect the tone in any way.

But everyone in Gotham still looks at Batman like he is the strangest person they’ve ever seen. I’d imagine people would be used to seeing people wearing spandex or even aliens if this universe was in the DCU

I could look at it as Gotham never really had a hero before him. And up until the end of the first film, he’s always been seen as some myth or dark presence.

And we really don’t know what the public knows or doesn’t know about until we see Superman. Creature Commandos at this current juncture is a special ops team and that’s it.

no Brave and the Bold movie announced yet still. Assuming that would still be planned, it wouldn't happen until like 2027 or 2028. and by then they could be on The Batman Part III. So either way they can easily slide this in to be the DCU Batman or be done with The Batman series by then. It almost feels like Gunn doesn't want 2 Batmen alongside each other

At the most foundational level, i don't care which hero is in which universe. I'd just rather you build up these classic locations like Gotham, Metropolis, Central City, etc.. with their heroes/supporting casts first before we even think about connecting them. This is how DC succeeds. It's not Marvel

Don't see what it actually accomplished right now to know what is where. The Batman and The Penguin's success are partially hinged on the fact they're not weighed down by DC's baggage and confusing universe connections.

I don't think we truly realize how turned off general audiences still are by DC in recent years. It's gonna take years to rebuild trust so lets not start by confusing them. Just make good solo movies. Reeves is the Batman guy, Gunn has Superman, someone take ___, etc....

Even if they're still separate that doesn't warrant duplicating Batman at all

The friends i talk to about Batman and Penguin aren't like "oh wow this DC Elseworlds stuff is super cool!" They don't even know what the f*** that is its just "Batman" and "Batman spinoff" for most people
