went to a 21st last night, qr codes but I was the only one who checked in probably 💀 god I hope nobody had the virus 💀
Don’t wanna be a downer but someone prolly had it if there was a decent turn out.
Copping it is inevitable at this point but I hope I get it later in jan for personal reasons

it's just about risk/return, like i'll go out to the footy no issues but probably not as interested in packing into a night club. but let the punters do that if they want
the close/casual contacts rules are still way too strict
Hello KTT fam
I currently live in EU and lately I've had many positive emotions related to the idea of moving to Australia or New Zealand
Could some of you tell me something more about how it is to live in Australia?
Maybe someone on here moved to Australia as an adult? How was it?
How is your government? I know New Zealand is fairly left leaning. How is it in Australia?
where in the EU
unless you're from some underdeveloped s*** hole i dont think your quality of life will really increase that much living here
like australia has great little things (world class produce/agricultural products, sporting scene) but on the whole i think a lot of things would be pretty backwards to someone from Europe (nightlife, lack of tangible/influential culture, how f***ing far everything is)
on the big issues like government assistance / social stuff i'd say the country does a good job
you will find a lot more opportunity employment-wise in Europe specifically. if you're good at maths or speak a second language I can't think of a better place than the EU to ply your trade.
anyway the overall point is that Aus is a solid place to live, one of the better places in the world really, but I would probably consider it a step backwards from some places too.
depends what you want out of the move really. your issue is that being in the middle of f***ing nowhere it's a bit hard to try before you buy. bit of a big deal compared to moving from prague to hamburg

they should honestly f*** off the qr codes at this point, contact tracing is gone
just go and get test if you feel sick and stay home if you are

I live in central-east Europe and my country is kinda behind the rest of developed European countries like Germany or France in terms of things like tolerance (big anti-LGBT movements in here)
I'm not a big fan of traveling and I love the idea of living a secluded life
There's something about Australia just doing their own thing down under and being kinda separated from the s***show of USA and European Union collapse that sits well with me - but I know it's just in my head and reality is probably different
I'm a software engineer and I plan on doing my own thing in the future so I'm not really that worried about a place to find a job
If I get good experience here I think I'll be able to find a satisfying job almost anywhere I look
I'd definitely be a big move tho never being outside of EU and suddenly moving 16k km away (it shows 28h by a plane
)
How is your relationship with New Zealand? Is it neutral or do yall have a beef?

This how y’all moving in the land down under?

sounds like you're from hungary or similar which is obviously pretty different from the heavy hitters yeah
one thing i can say if you like being alone Australia has plenty of room where you can just f*** off and not be bothered
our internet is terrible which may not be ideal for a software engineer however
EU collapse? that might be a bit dramatic mate. still plenty of opportunities afforded to you with that passport even with treasure island doing their own thing now. I would stay away from the US (to live) personally too.
NZ is fine it's a s***ter version of Australia with slightly more progressive politics but smaller cities and worse infrastructure. if Australian pop-culture is 4 months behind the US, NZ is another 4 years behind that. their rugby team is quite good. plenty of natural beauty but f*** all else really.
I transcend a little bit every time my Australian boss calls me mate
wait till he calls you cobba

How are the rural areas?
How are the rural areas?
not much going on unless you got a farm ie why most people live in major cities.
nice to go for holiday however especially up and down the east coast of Australia.
stay safe tonight guys
dont worry the only thing that can harm me tonight is an existential crisis brought on by the reminders of time passing and future to come
How are the rural areas?
